Since 1996 we have been teaching English to adult students from all over the world.
Students aged from 18 to 80 and from over 100 different countries have studied with us. They come from all different backgrounds of education, work and faith. Many students have returned to study with us several times, and they recommend their friends and family to come here.
All teachers are CELTA or DELTA qualified. We have a reputation for excellent care in and out of the classroom. Many students say the school is like a family. Our aim is to give you a warm welcome and an excellent opportunity to learn English in a caring, friendly atmosphere.
Our courses run throughout the year and you can start any week. You can study with us for any number of weeks or months that you choose. We only accept adult students aged 18 or older.
The school is close to the bus station, city shops, restaurants, museums and colleges of the University of Cambridge. We are located next door to a beautiful stone church and we occupy part of a larger building used also by other community groups. We have 3 classrooms on the first & second floors and use of extra rooms when needed. Our rooms include an area for refreshments as well as a library for our students to borrow books.
British Council Accreditation
Accreditation UK is the quality assurance scheme for English language teaching (ELT) centres in the UK, which the British Council runs in partnership with English UK. The scheme gives an assurance of quality to international students who are taking or are planning to take an English language course in the UK.
‘The British Council inspected and accredited Central Language School Cambridge in May 2022. The Accreditation Scheme assesses the standards of management, resources and premises, teaching, welfare, and accredits organisations which meet the overall standard in each area inspected (see www.britishcouncil.org/education/accreditation for details).
The inspection report stated that the organisation met the standards of the Scheme.’
